Nawanshahr 10th November (Harinder Singh) Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Langroa, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar organized an awareness camp for 100 students of Amardeep Secondary School on 10th November, 2025 under the Paddy Stubble Management Awareness Campaign. This camp was organized under the leadership of Dr. Pradeep Kumar, Deputy Director (Training), Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Langroya, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar. Mrs. Paramjit Kaur, Principal (Amardeep Secondary School, Mukandpur welcomed the KVK team and made the students aware about the seriousness of the subject of stubble management. During this campaign, Dr. Pradeep Kumar Deputy Director (Training) also explained to the students in detail about the damage caused by burning of stubble and the importance of various elements present in stubble. He also motivated the school students to play an important role in this awareness campaign. Dr. Jaswinder Kumar, Assistant Professor (Crop Science) explained to the students in detail about the machinery used for stubble management such as baler machine, super, smart and surface seeder. Dr. Rajinder Kaur, Assistant Professor (Home Science) shed light on the activities related to stubble management at KVK. Meanwhile, Renu Bala, Demonstrator (Home Science), highlighted the services provided by Krishi Vigyan Kendra towards agriculture. On this occasion, Krishi Vigyan Kendra also organized speech, essay writing and painting competitions to create awareness among the students about the harm caused by burning paddy stubble. Various competitions were held under the supervision of Krishi Vigyan Kendra scientists and school staff. Students participated enthusiastically in these competitions and the guests also honored the winning students to encourage them. An awareness rally was organized to make this campaign more effective for the students. At the end of the program, Surinder Singh, President (PTA Association), thanked the experts and Balwinder Singh and Rajwinder Singh (school teachers) and also requested to organize more programs like this campaign for the students.
